Q. I can't get SPSS to open my data. How can get this to work?

The problem, as I understand it, is that SPSS works on VDI, not personal laptops. So, you have to get your data into VDI. Try these steps to help move your data.

1. Go to Blackboard and download the datasets needs to the laptop.
2. Send an email back to yourself with the attached datasets.
3. Open VDI and log in.
4. Open Chrome and HCU email inside VDI.
5. Download datasets to Download folder inside VDI.
6. Open SPSS inside VDI.
7. In SPSS, click File/Open/Downloads and select the file to open. 

It should be accessible from that point. I'm sorry this is such a round-about way to get things done but this has worked for us here in the library when helping others. If you are still having issues, I recommend speaking with your professor and have him/her speak with ITS to see how this can be done more smoothly.
