  • Peer-reviewed articles are read by a select group of members or the journal's board. The group functions as an "admission committee" and decides to allow the article if it reflects quality research as well as writing and fits within the of the journal's scope. The group can accept, send back with revisions, or outright reject it.
     
  • This is not to be confused with scholarly articles or journals. The content of those journals is academic in nature; however, not all the articles will be peer-reviewed.
