How will COVID affect faculty beyond the classroom?

Faculty will self-report COVID positive cases or possible exposure to Human Resources. Faculty must wear a facial covering while instructing. They may wear a clear face shield to ensure clear communication and effective pedagogy, especially for students who are hearing impaired, but must replace it with a mask when done teaching. Proper spatial distancing will be utilized to protect students per the new classroom capacity and layouts. See the Teaching and Taking Residential Courses page for more. Labs will likely require face shields as an extra precaution. There may be pedagogical reasons not to wear a mask.
