Off-Campus Access

  • You can go to databases best by accessing them through our Database page.
  • When you click anything there, you will go to a login page with a picture of the library in the background. Type your HCU email address and network (portal) password.
  • Any reference you see about a Library PIN only relates to renewing physical books. If you have questions, please give us a call at 281-649-3304.

Using Databases

  • If you find a library page about registration, be aware that only covers registering for renewing physical books. It has no connection to database use.
  • Many databases offer you an option to create your own personal account to save articles from that database (JSTOR, ProQuest, etc.). If you see a SIGN IN button, that relates to a personal account only. That is not a secondary sign-in option to see full-text articles.

Finding Articles

On the library homepage, Scroll down until you see a group of boxes. Click on the box for ARTICLES. On the next page, pick the discipline tab you need.

  • You can pick the AtoZ Complete list to see everything we have (including filters), or
  • Pick a discipline from the tabs at the top.
    • Database will have links and descriptions.
