Thank you for your question. While most high schools require students to take a LOTE (language other than English) in order to graduate, it is not "required" to take one in high school in order to be admitted to HCU. However, American Sign Language (ASL) does count as a language other than English, but HCU does not give AP or dual credit for ASL coursework.
At HCU, Bachelor of Art (BA) degrees require students to take 6 hours of a foreign language. We offer Spanish, Latin, Greek, and Hebrew as foreign language options.
