ID Cards - General

ID Photos can be made in the Library at the Circulation Desk. Here is some other useful information about ID cards.

  • Free for in-coming students.
  • Your ID card can be associated with special accounts like the bookstore and campus eating plans. Bookstore purchases are restricted to books and supplies, not clothing and snacks. Resident students select a meal plan and a declining balance that is tied to their financial accounts. Commuter students can choose a Commuter Dining Plan which is also associated with their ID cards. Sorry, but ID cards cannot be used for other purposes such as laundry.
  • Cannot use ID cards for printing or copying in the library.
  • You will need ID cards to check out items from the library, use study rooms, Wellness Center, and get CLW points.
  • Validate your student status to outside vendors that give student discounts (movie theaters, museums, etc.).

Online Students

  • The library does not make photo ID cards for online students.

Lost Cards

  • Lost ID cards without meal plans will cost $10.00 to replace.
  • Lost ID cards with meal plans will cost $25.00 to replace.
    • If your ID with a meal plan is stolen, please report it to the HCU Police and bring a copy of the report to the library.
    • Students will be given two ID cards: one regular and another card with a different letter and number that will be used for meals.
    • Once the card is made, the Library will contact Aramark about the situation and give the new number.

Badges

The library also makes ID badges for the College of Nursing or School of Education, and student workers in various departments when needed. Replacement badges also cost $10 to replace.
