There are generally two things that affect this.

  1. Do you have the web site in the correct format (ex. http://www.nasa.gov)? The http:// element must be there and not a shortened version without it. Also, remember that the slashes have to be leaning forward. It is the same key with the question mark--not the key above the Enter key (back slash).
     
  2. Also, you have to press the space bar after completing the web address.
     
  3. Highlight your text and press Control and the letter "K." Copy the URL and paste it in the box.


HCU email (via http://cloud.hbu.edu) should automatically create the blue link that you want. This is not how other web mail sites like Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail may deal with it, however.
