No. HCU does not provide anti-virus protection. The best free options:

AVG Anti-Virus FREE (available for Windows only)

Microsoft Security Essentials (available for Windows only)

avast! Free Antivirus (available for Windows and Mac OS X)

Do not run multiple anti-virus programs

You should not run more than one anti-virus program on a computer. Running multiple anti-virus programs on a computer can create many problems and conflicts. If you are currently running another anti-virus program such as Norton or PC-Cillin and would like to use one of the options above, you will need to uninstall your current anti-virus software first.

NOTE: Be aware that when downloading programs from the Internet, you will often need to carefully read what you are downloading. Some Internet software will come bundled with other anti-virus software contrary to what you are already using which could cause you difficulties. Be sure to uncheck those options.

You would also be well-served to download something like Malwarebytes to keep spyware off your computer as well.
