It depends on the E-book. Many books from Ebsco can have multiple, simultaneous downloads but that may not be the case with ebrary. Also, you will see a wide variety of checkout periods. Most items on ebrary will go for 7 days but the most will be 14 days. Ebsco will vary from 7-30 days. A lot of this is decided by the book's publisher or the agreement the publisher and the distributor have worked out. In most cases, you will often be able to check out the book again when the time has elapsed.
