Our library is a curriculum library which means we purchase items for classes actively being taught. Unfortunately, dentistry is not one of them. If you do a subject search on our catalog and type DENTAL as the search, you will see what I mean. This will start off with dental. As you click the next pages will move into dentistry. The latter heading only has ten items.

I recommend checking Jones Medical Library at TMC (Houston Academy of Medicine) for this type of search. Subject searches with "dental" or "dentistry" will yield over one thousand items. If you would like to check something out from there of interest to you, I recommend stopping at our reference desk and ask for a TexShare card. We issue cards for our students. This is a corstoria and will allow you to check out items from other libraries participaring in the program. Click the link below and read the paragraph about the cards and view the map locator. They are only good for one semester and will let you check out four items (unless their policy has changed). Just take your TexShare card and your HCU ID card to their library. All items are returned to their library, not HCU.

I hope that helps. If you need additional information, please let us know.
