The library can place a hold on a book that is checked out; however, tthe library does not pull items from the shelves to hold in advance. Patrons must do that themselves. If you would like an item and know that it is checked out, then you can place a hold on that item at the Circulation Desk. That way, when the material is returned, it will be flagged. We will tag it, inform you, then keep the it at the Circulation Desk.
