This option helps you first to find the specific journal. I'll mention articles toward the end of the bulleted list.

  • From the library home page, click E-Journal A to Z List. From off-campus, you will need to input your HCU network ID and password.
  • Input your journal title.
  • Choose your publication. Sometimes, multiple vendors carry the same journal. Years of coverage may also vary.
  • Be watchful for the word EMBARGO. Publishers have complete control over what is digitized and how much they share. If you see your journal on the list (and this journal is in the list), don't assume it is full-text from this list. The publishers may just give you the citation and an abstract. Embargoes mean that the publisher will release full-text articles on their own timetable. In the case of this journal, it has a one year embargo meaning the most recent issues are not available; however, the rest of the articles will be full-text. You can still read the abstracts of recent articles. Embargo timetables will vary by publication.
  • Click the option you want.
  • You will see a list of available publication dates. You can drill for a specific issue by year or issue. Most databases will also let you search this one specific journal only. From here, you can select specific articles or search for multiple articles.
  • If any article you want is not available in full text, look for the LinkSource option. It will cross-check our other databases for full-text availability from other vendors. If it still is not available, then use the Interlibrary Loan option. We can usually get the article for you in 3-5 business days. If cannot find a LinkSource option, use the request forms on the Interlibrary Loan service page.

I hope this makes sense and is answering your question. If not, please let us know.
