Yes, all undergraduate students must fulfill the Community Service and Worship program by the time they graduate. Transfer students will receive a transfer credit of 3/4 credit for every transfer hour. For example, a student with 40 transfer hours will receive 30 CLW credits towards the requirement of 80 CLW credits. There is a wide variety of actvities that should appeal to both the traditional college student as well as the non-traditional, older student. You can see the varieties and point values on the links below.

Convocation is probably the easiest and apppealing to all ages. Convocations have a variety of speakers but it not necessarily a worship service but it does have a Christian-oriented theme. Below is a sample convocation with Andy Pettitte, New York Yankees pitcher (formerly pitched for the Houston Astros, as well). This will give you a little taste.

Also, you can check your CLW points via the HCU Portal. There is an icon for CLW along with the Blackboard and email icons. If you have additional questions, please contact Pam Netter-Morris at 281-649-3117.
