Q. Does every major allow a minor? If I have an education major, can I minor in any area I want to? Do some majors not have room for a minor?

Thank you for your question.  Every HCU major would allow a student to also have a minor in another area. However, some majors (such as Nursing) would not suggest adding a minor due to time spent in clinicals, etc.  In addition, not every subject offered as a major at HCU is also offered as a minor, and some topics are only offered as minors (Criminal Justice, for example).

However, it is best to speak with your advisor during your first semester at HCU to discuss the possibility of adding any minor.
