Have you signed up for HCU Alerts? Check out the web page and get signed up! You can get alerts sent to your phone or SMS. Messages from that service are official notices for campus closure for ice, flooding, or other reasons. If you sign up and hear nothing on a bad day, then school is open.

On an aside, you can always check the library's weather page. There lots of options on the tabs. The local National Weather Service Radar is on the main page. It will work with smartphones but there is also a library mobile weather page, too, that also has links to several weather apps and has fewer sites.
